I created Two Coats of Paint in 2007 to share reviews, commentary, news, and background information about painting and related subjects. Since then, curating Two Coats has become an integral part of my art practice. I've been painting for twenty years, but I'm like a doubtful novitiate trying to believe. Maintaining Two Coats has become a ritual practice, like reciting Hail Marys each day. Paradoxically, although I consider myself a painter, while I paint I often ruminate on new ideas for conceptual and digital projects.
